Gorgeous  set with painted flowers, they cam from a painting book. They were made in the early 20th century by the artist  Catharina Klein . You can find many of her cards for sale  on Etsy.

Cabochons and settings were one of my specialities in my former bead store. Soon people were asking me how to them themselves. I did some research and came up with a technique using  Mod Podge . I made a tutorial on my own blog. Now I found my  Tumblr blog  and there was a good image explaining it step by step. The steps are as follows 1. I found art books at the thrift store. 2. Seal image with Mod Podge. 3. Trace the shape and cut out. 4. Apply Mod Podge. 5. Remove air pockets. 6. Dry for a couple of hours. 7. Seal the back. 8. Place in setting and make jewelry! I bought the clear glass  cabochons wholesale  Pandahall in China . The quality was generally ok, some were a wee bit scratched. Please keep it mind that you are paying for shipping mostly ( they are heavy).

Beautiful set of photos from 1902 with young women in Edwardian dress. Some of them look like Mata Hari, many have the typical S-shape of the era. Some are hand- coloured and you can find the source  here.
